But awareness alone doesn't create change.

So how do we stop repeating unhealthy patterns, reconnect with ourselves, and begin responding differently?

In this episode of The Courage to Reconnect, Sarah introduces the C.H.A.N.G.E. Method, a practical approach to creating lasting change through self-awareness, curiosity, self-compassion, nervous system regulation, and brave action.

Together, we'll explore why healing isn't about becoming someone new, why understanding our patterns is only the beginning, and how small moments of courage repeated over time can transform the way we relate to ourselves and others.

If you've ever wondered how to stop people-pleasing, break unhealthy relationship patterns, decrease your anxiety, trust yourself more, or finally create change that lasts, this episode is for you.

Together, we'll discuss:Why awareness alone isn't enough to create lasting changeWhy we continue repeating familiar patterns, even when we understand themThe role of courage, self-compassion, and nervous system regulation in healingWhy change often feels uncomfortable, even when it's healthyThe importance of practicing new responses instead of perfecting old onesCommon barriers to change, including all-or-nothing thinkingHow reconnection becomes possible through small, brave moments repeated over time

The C.H.A.N.G.E. Method:Create Space – Slow down enough to intentionally hear yourself and stay present with discomfort instead of immediately reacting.Have Curiosity – Replace judgment with curiosity and begin gathering information about your patterns.Allow Awareness – Notice your thoughts, emotions, triggers, and responses without trying to immediately fix them.Nurture Self-Compassion – Respond to yourself with kindness instead of criticism.Ground Yourself – Support your nervous system and create enough safety to choose your response. Then assess what % of the belief is actually true.Engage in Action – Practice honesty, boundaries, emotional presence, authenticity, and new ways of responding. It’s all about the small brave steps forward.

Key Takeaway:
Reconnection requires practicing new responses, not just understanding old patterns.

Together, we'll unpack attachment, conditioning, and the ways many of us learn to disconnect from our needs, feelings, and authentic selves in an effort to protect connection.

Because if disconnection was learned, reconnection is possible. If you've ever wondered why speaking up feels risky, why you struggle to trust yourself, or why you keep repeating the same patterns in relationships, this episode is for you.
